Welcome to Toby Speak, "the only language your cat will ever need."

Toby Speak, tspeek.exe, translates files that are in English into a fictitious language we call "Toby Speak." Toby Speak is like English except it replaces certain words with other words. "Dictionary" files (*.dic) are read by the program to tell it which words to replace and what to use as replacements.

Installing Toby Speak:

Download http://primepuzzle.com/tc/tobee.zip

Create a folder on your c: drive called c:\tobee.

Unzip tobee.zip into c:\tobee.

Using Toby Speak:

Create files you want to translate into Toby Speak and save them in c:\tobee.

Go to a DOS prompt, navigate to c:\tobee and type

c:\tobee>tspeek -v -u filename.typ

The -v option gives verbose reporting

The -u option "untranslates" a file. That is, any words that are found to be Toby Speak words are changed to their English equivalents.

Note: Some humans naturally speak in Toby Speak. The -u option helps those of us who don't.

Examples:

tspeek blissful.txt (produces blissful.tbo w/o verbose reporting)

tspeek -v -u blissful.tbo (produces a new blissful.txt w/ verbose reporting)

tspeek is much faster (and more feature-filled) than its predecessor, tobee.tc, an interpreted program. It is written in C and compiled with CC386 IDE by David Lindauer.

Please email TSI (Toby Speak International) if you need help installing or using Toby Speak.

Enjoy!
