Far Away Displays On Earth we sometimes see beautiful displays of Northern Lights, especially in the wintertime in the upper northern latitudes. I like to think there are other places in the Universe where such events might occur. I have often felt there was a "presence" in such displays -- that they were generated by something beyond what we can only describe in scientific terms. I included the very small mountains on the lake's horizon for contrast to the display's great size. The lake appears still, untouched by "earthly" winds, and draws attention to the aurora's size and power. Back
