Greatest Aspiration
To some, a falling star is a short lived moment to marvel. To others it often
goes unnoticed. Still to others, it provokes a wish. "Star bright, star
light, first star I see tonight ..." I sometimes wish for things. I try not
to make them material wishes, although I would be the first to admit I have
made them.
Occasionally, when the moment is right -- when a full understanding of our
place in the Universe comes to pass: When we can appreciate the power of what
makes much more of a difference to mankind and to our own lives, we look up
and see more than just the streak of light 40 miles up in the heavens. We see
beyond it deep into the soul of a finer wish. We pray for knowledge. We
aspire to know His will for us. And, as symbolized in the tall spires,
reaching for the evening sky, we too look up and with full comprehension
dream of our particular role in a plan for humanity and for ourselves. We
seek for a moment with the greatest aspiration of all.
