We all have a long way to go in our lives.  We all travel together.  For
some, the journey is productive and long.  For others it is difficult and
longer.  For others still, it is unexpectedly shortened by events in life we
cannot know -- until they occur.  "Long and Short Journeys" is a symbolic
painting.  Time and the events of our time here in the Universe are
represented as both long, as shown in the "journey" we take on our "universal
land" -- and brief, as shown in the silent and quick passage of the meteor
streaking before our very eyes.  We cannot know how extended or quick life
will be for us, but we will all be given the opportunity make good use of the
time we have if we look to time as a possibility rather than a finite
limitation.
