![]() Why is it we see a circle with a scene inside it? Is this a window, through which we see this night scene? Yes. This was my intent. In addition to this, it was also intended to be a very special window. I have never had the occasion to travel on an ocean liner before. Those little port-hole windows must be very nice at night though. I was imagining two particular views, each only moments apart as one peered out over the ocean water at night. The first, as seen here, is a view of shooting star or comet. (I still have not decided which) The second, as seen in "Passing In The Night I," is a bit further to the right and depicts a moon without the night visitor. I would like to travel on a ship some night like this. I think the closest I ever came to these views was when I saw Titanic, and even then the mood was not quite the same as shown here. There was however a similar rhetorical theme. Two lovers "passing in the night" Possibly this is why these scenes are attractive to me (and for yourself as well) |
