Two Narrow Paths The Universe, immense on its own has, in this painting, two very narrow paths each representing choices we have in our lives. The forms surrounding these two thin pathways among the stars are symbolic of a material world which often influences our choices. The paths are intentionally narrow since, in life, it is often best to choose the simplest course, or one which has the fewest distractions. Often there is sacrifice and suffering in journeys well taken for those who are willing to get to the very heart of a matter. It is not by accident that the paths "crossing in the night" are perpendicular to one another, indicating different directions altogether. They cross in the center. It is at this point we come to terms with where it is we feel we need to go. Sometimes the choice is a good one. Still other times, we have no way of knowing why it is we fall by the wayside in the choices we make. There is One who does know why though. And this is the Being who designed these paths for us to follow. Back
