One of the most amazing formulas (which you may have heard of) is Euler's
formula.



I remember writing up a "proof" of this quite some time ago.

Looking around recently I found another approach to proving it which
showed that this formula is actually just one instance of a general
relationship which can be used to prove the formulas for the sine and
the cosine of the sum of two angles.
