I say 5kish because it was 3.09 and apparently the RD agrees it was not a

Been feeling a little under the weather in the last 4 days. It seems
to be some intestinal flu thing. Don't have much of an appetite. I
ran 3 tonight for the first time since last Monday. Having oatmeal
for dinner. Exciting! Didn't achive my 18 mile plan last week. Did
6 instead.
Finished hanging 23 pieces of art work in the NH gallery
today. Looks good. Came home and took a long nap. If the flu thing
doesn't improve in the next day or two I may get it checked out.

Did a loop around the Lake Garda school. 7 miles and with the big hill. This
is day #850 in the streak. This week we officially put our home up for sale
and have a deposit in Canton on a condo. I will live right on the Rails to
Trails. I can run, walk, ride a bike anytime(once I'm retired). If you ever
ran the Lobster Loop 5K in Canton I and 1/10th of a mile from the start line.
Therefore I'm moving but still a Connecticut runner. I'm running the Nipmuck

I ran twice on the ship - 4.5 miles and 5 miles. 2.91 times around the deck
was equal to 1 mile. The second time I ran was on our way back to NJ. The
wind was blowing like crazy and it was raining pretty hard at times. There
were a couple of other brave souls out there so I decided to run as well.
Shared a couple of laps with an 11th grade girl who does cross-country.
So for this week so far I ran:
Wed. - 5 miles on the ship
Thurs. - 6 miles back home
Fri. - 6 miles
Sat. - 6 miles
All were between 9:45 and 10:00 min. pace. Thankfully, my ankle is feeling
better.
Nice job, Lee and Brent, on the 10K!
Mike, good luck on your trail race tomorrow!

Ran 5.9 miles Saturday at 11:25 pace (several stops) with Concord

Tray, it would be interesting to see your Garmin for your runs on the boat.
I'm imagining a corkscrew like path due to the combination of your looping
and the boat's forward motion.

7 miles this afternoon - HOT! 10 min. pace nearly killed me. 30 miles for
the week, which is a lot for me these days. LOL
Lee, the Garmin was wigging out on the boat. I only kept it going for the
time. I had to calculate mileage by laps because it was computing a mile
after only 1 lap!
MCT - Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:46:19 (GMT) (subtract 4 for local time)
Did 8 miles this morning at a 11:57 pace. Hot! Sunday at Nipmuck I finished
in 3:20 and it was awful. I drank mor than 48 oz during the race and hydrated
a lot before the race and never had to pee. Lee..I would have assumed the
same corkscrew pattern with boat running but it must depend on the speed
of the boat relative to pace plus all the electronic navigation gear must
have messed with the GPS. Tracy it was good you got out there while cruising.
Must have been tough running past bars, pools, refreshment stands!!

Mike, the first time I ran on the cruise was 4:30 pm ish and I was mostly
annoyed with people in the way, as the running deck has all the chairs on
it and people were leaving to get ready for dinner. The second time I ran
was 7 am ish and it was raining pretty hard with lots of wind so only a couple
of other stragglers out on the deck. Your race sounded brutal!

Ran the 5k in Winsted on Saturday (sorry you couldn't make it Mike). Huge
169 presence. The three loop course was a tad short so my 27 flat time was
misleading. Pretty moving moment when Julie crossed the finish line.

Forgot to log for Sunday and I even had a title for it..."I Puked and I Ran"
Ran with Vanessa from Lasalle Market parking lot in Collinsville. Planned
on doing 14 but it was so incredibly humid - the dew point must have been
off the charts. Didn't feel that great from the beginning of the run and
decided to turn back after 6 miles. Then at around 8.5 miles, I got really
nauseous and threw up on the side of the trail. I have always said that
I never threw up while running or during a race and I can't imagine continuing
to run afterwards. Well, I proved myself wrong yesterday - it is indeed
possible to puke and run, though I don't recommend it b/c it doesn't feel
so good. LOL We ended with 12 miles at an 11:05 pace due to slowing down
and walking at times. Aye yai yai. Have no idea why I got sick and was
fine the rest of the day. Hoping that never happens again!
29 miles for the week for 3 days of running.
MCT - Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:23:54 (GMT) (subtract 4 for local time)
Tracy..Our new condo is about 1.5 miles north of Lasalle's on the trail. It's
a beautiful thing! Today I went back over to Cambridge along the Charles
river in Boston. This is a great running area with a hard packed gravel path
on the river near MIT. Did 7 miles at a 11:58 pace. Tracy-about pacers at
Anchor down. They are strict with only one allowed after 12 hours into the
race and they must wear a band to be identified as a pacer. They cannot touch
or go near the aid stations and cannot carry anything for the runner. The
one quirky thing is that they are allowed to hold an umbrella over the runners
head in the sunlight. Very strange and it has been done!

Yesterday I went to Barre, MA to walk on a path that is
used by meditators there at the Barre Insight Meditation Society
I walked (not meditating) 4.4 miles on a very peaceful, forest-lined country road with
surounding farms, wildlife, and old homes some of which looked as if
they had been there forever. Old rusted farm equipment, a barking
dog and a tiny chipmunk on the top center of a huge boulder were among
the many sights. I missed a turn (I was following a map) onto
Lover's Lane (appropriately named) which made the walk a little
longer than 3 miles. Here is the map of the walk
The walking pace was 21:53 / mile.
Ran 7.0 miles today in 1:04:23, 9:12/mile pace.
Really felt the heat and humidity today. Took the
