Thank you, Mike! What a really nice thing to say. :) Let's see if I can have
a good outcome at the 24 hour race on May 14th in NJ. Whole different ballgame.
Lots of luck to you at the Spring Fling. It's a decent course if it's not
muddy so I hope the rain is on the light side this week!

Mon. 2 m walk/14:57
Tues. GYM + 2.5 m walk/14:21

Fri. 5 m/9:24
Sat. 7 m/9:41 + GYM
Sun. 5 m/11:51

Look at Thurs and Fri - I'm nothing if not consistent. LOL Those were 2 completely
different routes and I had no idea I ran 5 them seconds apart until I just
reviewed my Garmin data. Honestly, I don't think I could get times that close
if I deliberately tried. Mindless running - how cool it can be. :)

Thanks Lee for your 4/17 comments! And Tracy, it still amazes me you
can do those distances (50k) and look so well after crossing the line!
Again, awesome job!

Sun 5/01 Walked for about 90 minutes at Cambridge's Mt. Auburn Cemetery with the CIMC meditation group

Weekly summary: 13.65 miles

So, I removed the image of the oil painter I met on the walk I
mentioned. Not really sure if what he was telling me was accurate info
about who he was. Anyway, I was going to replace the image with
another one of the group I walked with but I'm just not sure about
driving 33 miles to hook up with them again. It was easier when I
lived closer. It was a fun day though.

Brickyard tomorrow. Tray's doing wedding prep w/ Vanessa so won't be there.

Congrats Tracy and Jason on the Three Days At The Fair. Congrats Brent. Did
you beat Bill Rodgers? Congrats to Lani on her half at Mystic. I saw the
HMF finish time of 2:09. Today I ran the Mystic 10K for the first time. Saw
many friends there who were doing one of the two races. I maintained 11:00/mile
until hitting several small hills after mile 4. Finished at 1h 10m with an
average pace of 11:13 pace. About what I expected. The HMF Mystic races is
bigger than I expected. More than 1400 runners in all.

Busy race weekend for everyone - congrats to all!

A good friend at 3 Days said to me, "I thought you weren't going to do any
more 100 mile races." LOL And while I had no expectation of completing 100
miles in 24 hours, it's close enough (time wise) to be compared to a 100
mile race. I did hope to hit at least 90 miles to beat my 24 hour PR of 89.6.
Oh well. It was horribly humid during the day on Sat., so pace had to be
slowed, and then it rained for hours Sat. night, which created awesome macerated
feet. LOL I really thought the 4th place female was going to knock me out
of 3rd b/c while I stupidly ran in the rain, she did not. Then when I went
to the tent to air out my feet and rest, thinking I couldn't possibly walk
another step, she went back out when the rain stopped. I had maybe a 5 mile
lead on her but at this point, there were 4 more hours left. And if runner
#1 sits on her ass while runner #2 moves...It's amazing how the thought of
losing your place can propel you to get your ass moving.

I'm super happy to have placed 3rd out of 24 females. The top 2 females are
mad talented with distances of 102 and 101 miles. Different league.

Jason did awesome! His 2nd 12 hour race and he achieved his goal of 40 miles,
beating his 1st race by 5 miles. I think next year Jason and I will both
do the 12 hour!

Lee, 11:11 is way faster than you've been running - awesome job!

My week:
Mon. GYM + 14.20 m bike/13.8 mph
Tues. 4.25 m/9:59
Wed. GYM
Thurs. 6.25 m/9:47

Sun. 27.75 m bike/13.4 mph

Slow start to biking season. On Sun, Vanessa pointed out that I was in the
wrong gear the whole time. My legs felt so dead. LOL
