It's been many years since I ran this one. Great to be back. This race is free! 438 runners finished the race. Very competitive field. I actually thought I placed but didn't even come close. It was great to see an old friend Vito Bonaiuto and his wife and their son Greg who ends up being Rose's doctor! As you can see, he ran well. Barry and Merle were there. This guy is 69 and has 4 marathons in the queue for 2009 and just made it back here from a trek in Oshkosh, WI. I met Lesley who'll be doing Guilford tomorrow (as will I). Carol amazed us all by running the whole thing! It was hot, mile 8 was hilly but there was plenty of water, the course was well marked with green arrows, the band, food, boardwalk and random prize give away were great. Many of us did a little wading in the water. I jumped in. Here are a few pix. Linda is still away helping her Mom after surgery so the photographic coverage is clearly sub par right now.
