Supplemental Notes

The original manual uses a variety of fonts, bold, italics etc. The .pdf and .txt versions we have created do not. We have considered building a markup language that could be used (along with a processor) to convert our plain text into "rich text." It is obviously easier to follow the material when the text is "rich."

If you want to learn more about Pascal we suggest Peter Grogono's "Programming in PASCAL," Addison Wesley, 1980. This book contains an extensive bibliography. Another resource is

Appendix K in the Turbo Pascal Reference Manual covers TURBO SYNTAX using so-called EBNF (Extended Backus Normal Form). Syntax Diagrams are another way of showing Pascal syntax.

If you want to take advantage of the features of ZCPR3, download the maxz80.zip archive mentioned and linked to on the page we used during the scanning project. It contains a tutorial on Z-System under MYZ80 and sample Turbo Pascal programs. How you make Turbo Pascal programs Z-System aware is explained in the tutorial.
