Rose, Linda & I drove down early. The parking lot filled shortly after we arrived, around 7 am!

Despite the fact that I ran my slowest 1/2 ever (2:17!), nursing a sore left ankle, I still enjoyed the experience. Being there, running slow and seeing friends was great. I need to limit myself to shorter runs and see if I can fix this problem.

Andie Williamson-Hughes placed 1st w/ a 1:46. Maureen Terwilliger placed 2nd w/ a 1:26. Jo Marchetti placed 1st w/ a 1:54. Julie Sharpe-Sidhu, Don Capone, Ronnie Behringer, Richard Stoker, Neil Mandel and Kathleen Scotti ran. Paul Couzelis and Kathy Kilbride biked to the race. I learned from Paul that the hook up of Hi-TEK Athlete's Foot New Balance and Pequot Runners was something he suggested to Marty. I met Bill Hunter and Jeff Palmer, head of the Pequot Runners.

Kate Stoker was smart and decided not to finish it. She'll be taking care of a hip problem in the coming weeks.

The weather was a bit muggy but the cloud cover helped make it a not-too-hot Fairfield.

Wading in the cool ocean water after the race felt great!
